Body by Baby

Because Gisele and all her friends make it seem like stretchmarks don't happen, I started Body by Baby. Stretchmarks do happen. So does saggy skin. And saggy boobs. And that is ok. Because we are real women. Our bodies aren't perfect. But they didn't get this way on their own. They got this way because we are fucking awesome and CREATED A HUMAN IN THEM. What's a stretchmark or a muffin top when we actually made life?

This is what a real woman's belly looks like. This is what having beautiful babies does to a girl. And it is awesome:

This is Jess from Wrangling Chaos. She is the mom of Cassidy, 9, Gabe, 8, Olivia, 2 and Madelyn, 1.

Thanks, Jess. You are the shit for sharing with us what we all hide from each other.

Feeling frisky? Send me your own Body by Baby portrait and I will share it with all six of my readers the world. Anonymously or not. Your choice. Email them to me at ilikebeerandbabies @ gmail .  com (remove spaces).

  1. Thank you so much for this! It helps to have a dose of reality to counteract the cover of Cosmo. I don't read that trash, but it still makes me feel like crap every time I stand in the check-out line. Even though I know it's a lie! So lately whenever a friend (okay, strangers too) tells me that I look good for someone with two kids, I flip up my shirt and show off my loose skin and stretch marks. Not because I can't take a compliment, but because I want to tell the truth about motherhood. And the truth is hilarious and messy and amazing... Not Victoria's Secret runway amazing, but still pretty good. :)

    2. Hah! I totally would, too. No photos of my belly yet, but you can read my brand new baby blog at www.gorgeouslittlementalpatients.blogspot.com. I haven't figured out how to make that link pop up with my name, that's how new I am. Ack! How embarrassing. I've been reading you and Jess for a while, though, so thank you for the inspiration.

  2. Thank you for doing this. I so appreciate that the real face of motherhood and womanhood is being shown amongst the deluge of impossibly unattainable media images. Bravo! Thank you so much for linking up to my blog hop!

  4. On some level, he surmised, understanding the initial state of a quantum system with absolute precision, nicely as|in 코인카지노 addition to} all of its relevant forces, would enable calculation of all of its future states. On the contrary, untold experiments, drawing on the famous theorem of John Bell, have proven that quantum measurements possess a basic, built-in randomness can't be|that can't be|that cannot be} prevented. From a bodily perspective, there isn't any approach to “beat the dealer” in guessing quantum outcomes. The students would have 5 playing cards of food/drink every accompanying with a value.

I love hearing from you. It reinforces that writing this blog is not just a silly waste of my brain matter. If you leave a douche canoe comment, I will delete it. I am powerful like that.
