Puppy Dogs and Rainbows Friday: I do these posts mainly for me,
to remind me on days that aren't so good, that my life is good, overall.
I hope you also enjoy them. I invite you to do the same. Link up if you
want (I really don't understand how that works) or comment to let me
know what has made your life shiny this week. As moms (and you
awesome dads that read this), we seldom have the time to see the
sparkles in our fog of dirty diapers, whining toddlers and constant need by others.
Moral: be sure to stop and smell the unicorns every once in a while.
It has been a really sitty week at work with some news. Still employed but the environment is changing, as so are bosses.
ReplyDeleteMy rainbow? Never having help in the morning because hubs works so early. But? He took the time to marinate the pork chops before he left for work. In the almost 5 years we have been married? That has never happened. It saved me 2 minutes, but I made sure to call him at work and thank him because that simple gesture was much appreciated. (Now, he may have done it because he leaves his 32 week pregnant wife next week with a 2 year old for 5 days to go on a ski trip.. but whatever. He did it.)
Oh, girl, hang in there. Hoping your hubs doesn't return home to have a ski jammed up his...
DeleteOMG. I'm on my phone, and when I saw that first pic of the CC in my feed, it was literally the size of a thumbnail... And the pacifier looked like a disposable razor. Glad to see it wasn't. :)
ReplyDeleteit so does. ha!
DeleteThat's how the Dragonborn uses his pacifiers too, chewing on the wrong end. As long as they are happy. I want to paint with my son but I am worried he will eat the paint... what kind did you use? I'm sure any kind that is "non-toxic" would be okay... but I really don't want to have him literally pooping a rainbow.
ReplyDeleteTCC ate a lot of paint. Not sure the exact kind. I imagine it was not lead-based...
DeleteI'm glad your "How to Help" piece is still being read. It is very, very good.
ReplyDeleteAnother option instead of paint for your baby to play in is instant pudding. They love slipping and sliding around in it and it's definitely edible. Early childhood teachers swear by it. :)
Pudding is a great idea though he is lactose intolerant and a huge fatty who would eat it all. Ha.
DeleteI thought it was a razor too.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than a completely filthy baby, having soiled themselves with the fun of a great activity.
Esp since he spit up paint right after this...
